(Gray News) - The New Mexico State Police canceled an Amber Alert for a 10-year-old boy after he was found safe in Texas.

Nicolai Kuznetsov, 10, was located Thursday in Potter County, Texas, according to authorities. An Amber Alert had been issued for him earlier that day.

The boy’s mother, Jacqueline Haymon, was taken into custody by the Potter County Sheriff’s Office.

A district court judge in Albuquerque issued an emergency custody order Thursday, which granted Nicolai’s biological father custody due to the grave concern of the well-being and safety of the child.

The 10-year-old hadn’t been seen since Nov. 5.

Officials believe Haymon left with Nicolai because did not want him to be vaccinated, KOAT reports.
