Tynisha Jackson

Producer/Anchor/Reporter
Tynisha Jackson

Tynisha joined the WTOK team in March 2021 as a reporter. She is thrilled to call Meridian home and be a part of the WTOK-TV family.

Tynisha grew up in Arlington, Texas. Home to the Dallas Cowboys football team, although she is a Saints fan at heart. She attended Texas State University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media Programming and Media Studies. While there, Tynisha was a news reporter for both the University's news program (Bobcat Update) and radio station (KTSW). She also interned at News 4 San Antonio, going out on breaking news stories with the morning news team and writing news stories for the station’s website. Tynisha was also a part of the Texas State cheer program which allowed her to support athletic teams, interact with her fellow classmates and connect with university staff members and residents of the city. So, she has a lot of school pride. Eat em' up cats!

Over the past five years, Tynisha was an instructor for the Universal Cheerleaders Association. She had the opportunity to travel across the country, teaching cheer camps and working National competitions. She loved impacting young cheerleaders lives and teaching them not only skills for the sidelines but about the importance of spreading school spirit and getting involved with their community.

When she's not working, Tynisha enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, trying new food, and spending time with family and friends. Tynisha is looking forward to volunteering in the community and learning more about East Mississippi and West Alabama.
