Ethan Bird

Ethan Bird is Colorado-born and raised. The son of two Colorado State University alum, it was only fitting he attend there to continue his education. As a Ram, Ethan became involved in student media in the fall of 2018, working for CTV (CSU's on-campus television station) sports as a reporter. Within a year, Ethan was producing and anchoring the CTV Sports show and would continue to cover Colorado State athletics until his graduation in May of 2021.
Growing up Ethan always loved sports, he played baseball and tennis. Another passion was public speaking, at CSU those found their perfect meeting place. Now, at WTOK Ethan will be focusing primarily on news and assisting in high school football coverage. He is so excited to experience a side of the broadcast that he is yet to taste. To Ethan, it does not matter what he is doing, as long as he is telling stories that connect people, which is what he plans to do here in Meridian. Being able to get a chance to see high school football in the south is just an added benefit.
In his free time, Ethan enjoys working out, playing video games, watching his favorite shows, and connecting with his friends and family. His favorite sports are baseball and basketball, a hometown fan of course, and anything his Rams are playing in. As much as he loves his classic shows like Parks and Rec, Game of Thrones, and The Challenge. Ethan is also very into anime! He loves sharing his passions, so if you ever see him on the streets never be too scared to start up a conversation.
There is no place Ethan would rather be than here to start his career at WTOK. He is excited to learn about this part of the country and to tell the stories of Meridian and the surrounding areas. Connecting with people and creating lifelong memories are some of his favorite things to do and he sees a lot of that happening during his time at WTOK.
